- As one of the world’s most immersive animal habitats, the Lion & Hyena Ridge is roaring into 2026. A dynamic savanna terrain nearly 35,000 square feet. Where these iconic species will live and thrive.

- See the Africa’s savanna like never before. Guests will be in awe as they take in these majestic animals through four expansive glass viewing area with a 270 degree perspective of their habitat. There are also shaded pathways for those hot days.
- Enjoy up-close animal interactions and educational opportunities with zookeepers. This immersive environment, changes allowing the animals the freedom to interact, explore, and thrive.
Innovative Habitat Designs
- The Edge of Africa’s Lion & Hyena Ridge habitat was specifically designed to support the mental, social, and physical well being of the animals.
- Along with nearly 35,000 square feet, this naturalistic environment features cascading water elements, Kopje-style rock formations, several diverse enrichment spaces, and multi-functional rotating spaces for behavioral variability and social groupings.
Roaring Animal Stories
- Guests can get up close with and connect with lion brothers Herman, Hugo, Henri, Lou, and Pascal, born in 2024, along with hyenas Dazi and Cazi.
- This new immersive setting allows for moments that are engaging, educational, and inspire curiosity.
