New Evening Experiences

The carvings on the tree seem to move as the lights simmer. Every ten minutes flickering fireflies appear and bring the spirits of the carved animals to life. This is just the beginning of the nightly excitement in store at the all new Animal Kingdom night time extravaganza.
Discovery Island
Join in the party at Discovery Island Carnivale, stilt walkers and musicians dance through the streets. It is inspired by Carnival celebrations from around the world. Late in the afternoon sounds of drums and music can be heard throughout Discovery Island.
The Viva Gaia Street Band welcomes you to an exuberant dance party and larger than life celebration of the wonder and beauty of nature. As the moon shines guests can enjoy several hours of this jubilee that makes its way from one end to the other of Discovery Island and ends at the Discovery stage where the fun heats up.
Rivers Of Light
The main event of this night time spectacular is the Rivers of Light, a show that embraces the magic of nature with special effects, music and animal folklore.
This timeless show celebrates the beauty of all living things, it reminds us all that we are bound together by the earth, past, present, and future. It is unique with a brilliant combination of water, sound, and light. Groups of lanterns light up and shift into animal spirit forms.
You will be transported across Asian jungles, oceans, North American mountains and African savannahs as you watched the show under a star filled sky. Make sure to make your way to the lagoon early to get a great seat for this amazing show.
See never before seen footage from Disneynature, live performances, and floating set pieces all set to an original musical score. Fireflies illustrate the migration of light which is a motif followed by the production. Giant lotus flowers, light up and float on the lagoon. Video projections and choreographed laser animation creating the glowing fireflies just like living pixie dust. Authentic Asian dance, music, song, and shadow puppetry tell the story throughout the show.
Daytime Favorites At Night
Experience your favorite attractions are now open at night, adding more excitement to this already fun ride. Explore the savanna at night when you climb aboard one of the safari trucks on Kilimanjaro Safaris.
During this adventure see animals in a whole new light. Guests can see the nocturnal habits of lions, elephants, hippopotamuses, and hyenas. Safari guides are there to share expert knowledge about all the animals.
Take a wild ride on Expedition Everest at night. Embark on an evening journey to the Himalayas, just watch out for the Yeti. This fast paced roller coaster enhanced by the night.
Kali River Rapids is also another favorite ride open at night. Now guests can board a raft and make their way down the Chakranadi River in the dark, make sure to hold on tight.
